our training style

At E3, I offer a diverse training style designed to deliver a well rounded, whole body experience during each and every class.  My approach is always to help you be the strongest version of yourself. I always say, "if something challenges you, practice until it doesn't".

As a strength and conditioning RKC certified kettlebell gym, we use kettlebells in most of our workouts, and I love teaching our tribe how to safely work with these incredible tools. We also work with dumbbells, barbells, medicine balls, tires, battle ropes, jump ropes, calisthenics, HIIT conditioning, yoga, and mobility training to offer programs that strengthen us in many different ways. Our workouts intentionally offer you training throughout the week to leave your body feeling stronger and healthier.

As a boutique gym, I offer detail oriented group training equivalent to working one on one with a private coach.  Also, I enjoy getting to know each member personally, as your health is a very important part of your life, and mine! At E3, we are tribe mates, and a warm and friendly approach is what makes our studio special. Getting lost in the crowd at a huge gym can feel isolating and intimidating.  I am here to positively encourage and take care of you, but also to push you to reach new goals with a coach's 'tough love' approach.

group classes

There is a reason people love group training, and I'm here for it.  In group classes, we want to be pushed, work harder than we would on our own, and enjoy the energy of an inspiring and uplifting tribe. But, we also are looking for someone to coach us, to make sure we are moving well, and to help us when we are struggling. At E3, I take good care of my members and always encourage them to keep growing.

With small and intimate class sizes, I provide hands on coaching to every member. I know my members well, and I am aware of any limitations, injuries, or fears they may be dealing with. Modifications and attention to movement patterns are always my priority during our training sessions.   Also, I am present to witness your growth, and to suggest a heavier weight or new variation of a movement that will continue to encourage new gains. A well coached group class setting is what you get at E3, and I personally witness the long term success our members experience because of it.

We work hard at E3, and our training sessions will challenge you. Don't let that sound too scary, because we all start somewhere. We meet you where you are AT, and encourage incremental growth that is long lasting. I am here to help you become stronger, both physically and on a much deeper level.

mat classes

The mat classes are a perfect compliment to the strength and conditioning classes I offer. The ability to move well, be flexible, and to have body weight endurance is profoundly important as we age. Often weight lifters struggle with yoga, and yogis can't lift heavy weights...but at E3 I believe we can do it all. Moving well is always my ultimate goal.

For me, teaching a mat class is an opportunity to guide my students toward healing, both physically and emotionally. The flow and connection to our rooted space offers us the time and direction to truly get inside our bodies. Different than group training environments, a mat class offers both a collective and also inward experience that truly heals our bodies through the mind, body, soul connection.  This type of movement allows us to release emotions and body aches that keep us tangled up in knots. Movement as meditation is one of my favorite ways to shake off what troubles me, and I  truly enjoy sharing this gift with our tribe.

Buti Yoga and Gravity are currently the two styles of mat classes offered. Both are very different, but also challenging in their own unique ways. As our studio grows, I hope to offer many more mat class options in the future.

kettlebells

Kettlebells are often misunderstood as just another weight that can be interchangeable with a dumbbell, but I am here to disagree!  These little balls of steel provide us with an entire gym, in the palm of our hand.  Kettlebells build strength, cardiovascular endurance, AND mobility in their own unique way.  Being intimidated by them is silly, because just like any weight, you start small and learn as you go. Here are just some of the reasons we love kettlebells.

Strength - Ballistic kettlebell practice generates enormous force, and therefore presents an extreme challenge to the entire body - resulting in unusually fast strength gains.

Endurance/Cardio - The intensity of rapid kettlebell movement translates into a more powerful and resilient heart - and the ability to sustain vigorous activity for greater periods.

Weight Management/Fat Loss - Kettlebells provide a fast, reliable, and highly effective way to burn fat and build lean, dense muscles.

Flexibility - The kettlebell helps build flexibility, which is imperative for speed and resilience.

Total Body Conditioning - Regular, vigorous kettlebell practice builds both mental and physical toughness, boosts energy, and allows you to handle high stress with relative ease.
